About the Founder

My name is Donna and I’m the founder of A Place for Everything, a home organisation service built from a genuine passion for creating calm, functional spaces that truly support everyday life.

For over 14 years, I’ve worked as a Legal Admin Manager within a housing charity, where organisation, structure, and problem solving are at the heart of what I do. But for me, organisation has always gone far beyond work, it’s something that brings a deep sense of calm, clarity, and control.

I’ve always believed that when your space feels in order, your mind follows. There’s something incredibly satisfying about transforming a cluttered, overwhelming area into a space that feels peaceful, purposeful, and easy to live in. It’s not just about tidying, it’s about creating an environment that helps you breathe a little easier, think more clearly, and enjoy your home again.

Outside of my career, you’ll often find me spending time with family and friends, on holiday, immersed in DIY projects, home décor, or planning ways to make spaces both beautiful and practical. With a natural eye for detail (and a touch of Virgo energy), I genuinely love the process, the sorting, the systems, the finishing touches that make everything just work.

A Place for Everything was born from that passion and from a desire to help others experience that same feeling of calm, order, and ease in their own homes. I’m now building this business from the ground up, learning new skills along the way, and embracing the journey with a positive, practical mindset.

At heart, I’m happiest when I’m helping others feel less overwhelmed and more in control, creating spaces that don’t just look good, but truly work for the way they live.

The process begins with a free, no-obligation home consultation, providing the opportunity to walk through your space together, understand your needs, and discuss the most suitable approach for your home, lifestyle, and budget.

You will receive a friendly, professional, and confidential service at all times. I understand that inviting someone into your home can feel personal, which is why I ensure a respectful and non-judgemental environment throughout the process.

Every solution is practical and tailored, designed to align with your daily routines and create systems that are both functional and sustainable. I provide hands-on support to declutter, organise, and reset your space, ensuring that every item has a clear and purposeful place.

My focus is on creating simple, realistic systems that are easy to maintain long after our sessions are complete, helping you to enjoy lasting results.

To make the experience as seamless as possible, I also offer a range of additional services, including:

  • Donation drop-offs to local charities, allowing unwanted items to be rehomed responsibly

  • Disposal support and skip runs for items that cannot be donated

  • Guidance on storage solutions and product recommendations where appropriate

  • Continued support and advice to help you maintain your organised space

Understanding that life can be busy, I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate your schedule.

Ultimately, my aim is not only to organise your home, but to ensure the entire experience is positive, manageable, and even enjoyable,  leaving you with a space that feels lighter, calmer, and significantly easier to live in.
